I'm so excited to start 2014 out with FullyRaw Kristina's 21 Day Raw Vegan Challenge! My Mom & sister have decided to join me which I am thrilled about. It's always nice to have support from family! As I discussed in this previous post I did not impress myself this year. I actually disappointed myself immensely and I am determined to change that. I am ready to look back this time next year & be PROUD of what I have accomplished.
I have a few goals for 2014, however my main goal is to recommit myself to a vegan (high raw) lifestyle. I will be blogging my way through the 21 Day Raw Vegan Challenge as a way to hold myself accountable. Plus, it will be cool to document the process! My other goals include practicing yoga daily, loosing weight so I can fit into my jeans(!), running a 5K without stopping, and signing up for 5K races. I hope to get in the best shape of my life this year. I also want to spend more time with my family, visit the local co-op weekly, plant an organic garden this spring, and stress less. I believe that taking time to practice yoga every morning will do wonders for me. I also want to set intentions for each and every day. I need to start walking the talk. We only have ONE life, and ONE body. If I don't take care of it now, where will I live? My body is my temple and I am ready to nourish it, love it, and respect it.
I know everyone has different opinions on New Year resolutions, but hey… if it works, do it! The New Year is a time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the future. It is not a time to beat yourself up over goals that were not met. Each day is a new opportunity to live the life you imagined.
You have the power to make changes each and every day. You have the power to change your thoughts from negative to positive. You have the power to take control of your health. The only question is… will you?
