Happy Friday, friends! It's time for another Friday Favorites post!
I'm linking up with Clare from Fitting It All In's Five Things Friday link up!
Let's get started with some things I've been loving…

1. Smoothies. What's new? I always am making new yummy creations, so be sure to follow me on Instagram for my recipes!

2. Freshly hand squeezed tangerine juice! These tangerines were so juicy, I was loosing lots of juice while peeling them to put through my juicer. I decided to use a hand juicer so I didn't lose any of that goodness. It was divine!

3. I am so excited to share with you Eco Jarz! Their products are a simple, smart way to use a canning jar as a to go cup! Stay tuned for my review & giveaway coming soon!
 {THREE people will win a stainless steel small mouth lid with drinking straw!}

KIND Healthy Grains Bars Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Flavors: dark chocolate chunk, peanut butter dark chocolate, oats & honey, maple pumpkin seeds, and vanilla blueberry!
KIND Bar's are one of my favorite treats. They are made with simple ingredients and are really delicious. When I got the opportunity to review their new line of granola bars, I was so excited!
WHAT I LOVE: These snacks are gluten free and claim to be nonGMO. Key word claim. I love that they contain simple ingredients that I can pronounce!
WHAT I DISLIKE: They are not nonGMO project verified, a third party verification program. So I don't really know if they contain GMOs. Bummer. They also contain a few questionable ingredients.

INGREDIENTS of the dark chocolate chunk granola bar: Whole grains (gluten free oats, brown rice, millet, gluten free oat flour, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa), tapioca syrup, evaporated cane juice, honey, nonGMO canola oil, coconut, chocolate liquor, sugar, brown rice syrup, molasses, gum acacia, sea salt, vanilla extract, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, Natural Vitamin E.
NUTRITION FACTS: 1 bar of the dark chocolate chunk granola bar contains 150 calories, 4.5g fat, 65g sodium, 25g carbohydrates, 3g fiber, 9g sugar, 3g protein

You can view the ingredients & nutrition facts for all the flavors here!

In my opinion the ingredient list seems a little long. I bolded the ingredients that are questionable to me. I would feel more confident if KIND products got nonGMO project verified.
I do enjoy these granola bars as a snack and think they are great for on the go. I especially love the dark chocolate chunk and peanut butter dark chocolate flavors (surprising right?) chocolate just gets me every time.
KIND Healthy Grain Bars are crunchy with a slight chew, perfect with a hot cup of tea or coffee. I also enjoy them crumbled on top of my smoothies. It's a yummy (and healthy) way to add some crunch!

How do you feel about companies that claim to be nonGMO but aren't verified by The nonGMO Project

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Terra Dolce Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

It's been dreary in Connecticut lately. Lots of snow/rain/ice. Yuck. Is it summer yet? I hate when people say that and here I am complaining. I just miss that warm sunshine, ya know?!

Terra Dolce's Floridian body scrub helps bring a little sunshine to my day. It reminds of me of sweet summer time and leaves my body silky smooth. Perfect for my dry winter skin!

Terra Dolce explains their Floridian body scrub… "Experience a real Florida body scrub.  Made with Florida sugar and citrus, the Floridian is whipped to perfection.  This 16oz Sugar Souffle will leave you feeling radiant & beautiful ! One 10oz of the Terra Dolce's orange peel collagen boosting sugar scrub retails for $27.

I feel great supporting a company that is fueled by passion and inspired by Mother Earth!
HISTORY OF THE ORANGE: Christopher Columbus is credited with bringing the first citrus fruits to Florida during his first voyage. A few decades later in 1513, the Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon planted the first orange groves in Florida. The orange was immediately embraced by the local population who continued to cultivate the tropical fruit for centuries before the citrus industry was born. It’s no surprise that the orange is Florida’s state fruit. The surprise is that it was not named so until 2005.  Symbolic of luxury, growth, and health, oranges suit Florida both culturally and agriculturally. Rich in vitamin C, the orange fruit is the true Fountain of Youth that so many explorers and settlers lusted after.
I highly recommend Terra Dolce's Floridian body scrub! It is sure to brighten your day!

Squarebar Review

I have a very yummy review to share with you all today! Squarebars were created by a husband & wife team whom believe that #IngredientsMatterMost. You can read more about the story behind Squarebars here
"We believe #IngredientsMatterMost! Translation: ingredients are a better indicator of nutrition facts & environmental health than nutrition facts. Don't get us wrong, we love balanced nutrition facts as much as the next snacker… we just believe in knowing where those facts come from, because they're not all created equal. Best to start with nutrient-dense, sustainable, and let's not forget yummy, whole food ingredients!"

Squarebars are made in the USA, gluten free, vegan, organic, and nonGMO project verified. Squarebars also contain no refined sugars, are soy free, peanut free, and corn free, sweetened with coconut nectar (which has a low glycemic index), contains no "natural flavors", coated with real chocolate, and they are offering FREE SHIPPING for a limited time! Score!
Squarebars are available in three delicious flavors; cocoa coconut, cocoa almond, and cocoa crunch. They retail for $34.49 for 12 bars. Squarebars also offers a variety pack so you can try all three flavors! YUM! Each Squarebar is 1.7oz!

I honestly can't choose a favorite. Each flavor was that good
The ingredients for the cocoa crunch: organic coconut nectar, organic whole grain brown rice protein, organic dark chocolate (organic dehydrated coconut nectar, organic cocoa liquor, organic cocoa butter, organic cocoa powder, sunflower lecithin), organic coconut oil, organic gluten free oats, organic cocoa liquor, organic brown rice crisps (organic brown rice, organic brown rice syrup, sea salt), sunflower lecithin, sea salt.
Nutritional facts: (1 bar) 200 calories, 9g fat, 35g sodium, 100mg potassium, 20g carbohydrates, 2g fiber, 12g sugar, 12g protein

You can view all the ingredients & nutritional facts here!

Here is an up close look at the delicious cocoa crunch:

The cocoa crunch tastes like a candy bar. Really, it does. The chocolate chunks and chocolate coating creates a rich chocolate flavor!
The cocoa coconut flavor is chewy and has moist coconut through out. It also has a rich chocolate flavor which pairs perfectly with the coconut.
The cocoa almond is also rich in chocolate and has delicious crunchy almond pieces which makes for a delicious treat.

Squarebars pack in 12g of protein and taste like chocolate bars. I LOVE that they are nonGMO verified and certified organic. I can feel good indulging in this protein bar!
Next time I am craving chocolate, I am definitely reaching for a Squarebar instead!

Glasstic Water Bottle Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I have a fun review to share with you today! But first, I want to give you a little background on plastic water bottles. American's have used an estimated 50 BILLION plastic water bottles in the past year. The United State's recycling rate is at 23% which means at least 38 BILLION water bottles are wasted each year. Whoa. Those are some scary statistics huh? Well, the good news is we each have the opportunity to fix this mess. We each make the decision to use plastic thus we can each create a solution to this madness. A simple solution is to stop using plastic and replace all plastic ware with glass. Glass is sustainable, ecofriendly, reusable, and can be repurposed easily.

Glasstic water bottles are 100% shatterproof, BPA free, dishwasher safe, easy to clean, double walled, insulated and sweat proof! Glasstic offers a variety of colors, they are so vibrant & fun! Glasstic is the ultimate solution as it allows you to have the purity of glass & portability of plastic!

They are ideal for adding essential oils to your water because you do not need to worry about compounds from the essential oils dissolving the plastic bottle.

How is Glasstic created? They explain... We start with an ultra pure, toxin-free glass bottle, add a silicone rubber gasket at the top, and finish it with a BPA free, durable outer shell. Read more about Glasstic here & see the FAQ's here

For my review I chose the white Glasstic water bottle:
I absolutely love the size of this bottle (16oz) as it is ideal for bringing water on the go! It even has a carrying handle and lock! No spillage here! Plus, all the lids are interchangeable.  This design retails for $19.99 and weighs 1.1 pounds! You can score free shipping with purchases of $35+ (this would be an awesome gift!)

Cleaning the Glasstic water bottle is simple; screw off the top cap and bottom base, put one hand on top of water bottle (touching the glass) while holding the outside of the bottle with the other hand, push down on the glass bottle so it exits the outer plastic shell, slide the outer shell upwards and over the glass bottle. It is recommended that you hand wash your Glasstic water bottle, however it is dishwasher safe!
(These directions were on the inside of the label)

Just think of how many plastic water bottles you can save from ending up in landfills simply by using a Glasstic water bottle!
I love my Glasstic water bottle and I would encourage everyone to get one! I believe glass is always a better, more sustainable option than plastic. Glasstic allows you to enjoy the purity of glass with the portability of plastic!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Friday Favorites #5

It seems like it's been awhile since I've written a Friday Favorites post… and that's because it has! I skipped last week, whoops! But I'm back today for a short & sweet post. You know that thing I mentioned called planning? Yeah, it's still lacking. I really, really need to plan more!!! That is on the top of my "to do" list this week ;)
I'm linking up with Fitting It All In's Friday link up!

1. I have not been loving the snow, but snow is the reality of winter here in New England. It does, however, make for some pretty pictures (and that's about it hehe)
One of my favorite juices has been orange, pineapple, apple & carrot. It is oh so yummy!

2. I worked on Super Bowl sunday, but my family enjoyed my avocado salsa immensely. Have you entered to win Salba Smart chia seeds in my current giveaway?! It ends 2/14 and is open only to the United States (sorry International friends!) You can share on social media daily for extra entries! ENTER NOW!

3. Salba Smart chia seeds are a staple in my diet. I love adding them to my smoothies. This one was delicious & I thought it was cool how much the lightening changed the colors!  Recipe: strawberries, mango, pineapple, Salba Smart chia seeds soaked in 1/2c warm water for 5 minutes, kale, water to blend
The top layer has more mango & pineapple :)

4. Have you heard about the latest victory of The Food Babe Army!? If you haven't heard of The Food Babe, Vani, you are seriously missing out! She is on a mission to investigate what is really in our food. She recently launched a petition to Subway asking them to stop using a controversial ingredient, which is also used in yoga mats (see Vani's YouTube video about the ingredient here) in their bread...
Just two days after Vani wrote this blog post & asked The Food Babe Army to take action, Subway announced they would be taking the controversial ingredient out of their recipe.
It's truly amazing to see how petitions are changing the industry. We really do have a voice, we just have to use it!

5. I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes...
