Beauty Routine with Salba Smart ~ Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

Many of the foods we consume affect the quality of our hair and skin – from water to omega-3s to antioxidants. But if beauty is more than skin deep, why do we turn to face creams rather than whole foods for solutions? Shouldn’t we be working on beauty from the inside out?

Chia seeds are popping up in face creams and oils everywhere, but did you know that just eating 1 tablespoon of Salba Chia whole seeds every day can give your body more essential nutrients, like omega-3s (ALA) to keep your skin glowing and hair silky, as well as protecting your brain, heart and digestive health? Chia has come a long way from its sprouted head days and there are very good reasons to add this mighty whole food to everyday beauty regimens!

So why Salba chia? There are many strains of chia, but Salba chia is the only registered variety and has the highest nutritional consistency, which means you pay less for better overall health than expensive oils and creams.

Reasons to eat Salba chia:
·         Every 15g serving of Salba provides 800% more Omega-3s (ALA) than salmon (EPA/DHA) – perfect for combating dry skin!
·         Each serving contains 5.1g of dietary fiber to support healthy digestion and curb appetite.
·         Contains 30% more antioxidants than blueberries (based on ORAC scores), a natural way to maintain youthful, radiant skin.
·         It’s easy! Sprinkle or mix into smoothies, salads, pudding or juice.

Time to step up your beauty routine! And it can be as easy as eating or drinking!

Salba Chia Better Beauty Smoothie
All the best ingredients to keep your hair strong and shiny, skin glowing, and brain powered!
·         2 cups raw almond milk
·         2 T. Salba chia seeds
·         1 ripe banana
·         5 strawberries, cut
·         ½ cup blueberries
·         ½ avocado, peeled & pitted
Blend together until smooth consistency; add ice cubes if desired.

Salba Chia Exfoliator
Tiny chia seeds can act as a gentle and natural exfoliator when combined with coconut oil and lemon juice:
·         Mix ½ cup coconut oil and 1 T. lemon juice with 2 T. Salba chia seeds.
·         Gently wet your face with warm water and apply the chia exfoliating scrub to your skin. Let it set for 2 minutes, during which it should begin to form a gel.
·         Remove the chia scrub with a wet washcloth and rinse your face with cool water when finished.

I absolutely love the Salba Chia Exfoliator! I used it on my entire body and it is simply divine. It leaves my skin extremely soft and smelling fresh!
I let the exfoliator set for about 5 minutes before applying to my face. That way, the chia seeds can start to absorb the coconut oil and lemon juice creating a gel. My sisters also enjoy this refreshing scrub!
I put the leftovers in the refrigerator and now have an amazing exfoliator for anytime! Now that's a win, win :)
